If you live at Reserve at Regency Park, and you are looking for July 4th things to do in Centreville, VA, a great place to enjoy the fourth is downtown Old Town Manassas.  A whole day of events and attractions are scheduled for the 4thin and around the train station.

Starting at 2 PM there are rides for the kids.  Centered on the Harris Pavilion for the daytime activities, food and other become available starting around 4 PM.  Later, as dusk falls, a fireworks display will be presented on the lawn in front of the Manassas Museum.  Get there a little early for the best locations and spread out a blanket.

For a little longer trip, a complete day of events will occur at George Washington’s home, Mount Vernon.  Daytime fireworks, military bands and a very inspirational naturalization ceremony for brand new Americans all are included in the day’s events.

The largest and most extensive fireworks display will occur in Washington, DC, on the Mall.  It does require some advance planning and will require the full day.  There is also the concert on the Mall on the west side of the Capitol.  Both are great events.

What are your July 4th plans?
